If your visa is refused

 
Your visa can be refused by various reasons. The officer's deicision record is attached to your visa refusal letter. Most onshore applicants can appeal the refusal decision at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.  

Tribunal member can schedule a hearing or assess the case on the provided documentary evidence only. As a result, the visa officer's decision can be affirmed by the Tribunal or remitted back to the Department for re-assessment with the relevant comments. 

Tribunal's processing times can be quite long, only in very limited circumstances a case be brout forward. Offshore applicants, in most cases, do not have review rights.
